THOMAS LAW HOUSE

Tiber Island includes the Thomas Law House, an historical landmark on the National Register. Built in 1784, this handsome Federalist mansion at the corner of our grounds at Sixth and N Streets, has been the home and social center for some of America’s leading figures including Thomas Law and his wife, Eliza Parke Curtis, the spirited eldest granddaughter of the First Lady, Martha Washington. Today, this beautiful building is the scene of our annual Holiday Party, weddings, meetings and other events.

A Distinctive Setting for Your Next Occasion

Overlooking the Potomac River and Washington’s most famous monuments, just moments from the city’s largest marina, fine restaurants and lodging, consider Weddingrenting the Thomas Law House as a unique setting for your next occasion.  The house and its lovely grounds can accommodate 50 guests for inside sit-down dining, 150 for a cocktail reception and up to 300 for an outdoor affair.

Reserve Your Place in History

Call us to arrange a visit to the Thomas Law House.  We’ll guide you through the residence and grounds and work with you to ensure your special occasion is just that – an elegant and truly memorable event.
